Free Bully Prevention Workshop
Stand Strong
“Empower a child with confidence, and they can face any challenge.”
Bullying isn’t just a playground problem—it’s a widespread issue that affects the emotional and physical well-being of millions of kids every year. According to recent studies, nearly one in five children report being bullied, with many feeling helpless about how to stop it. At Crabapple Martial Arts Academy, we believe no child should feel powerless. Confidence, awareness, and the right skills can make all the difference.
That’s why we’re hosting a Free Bully Prevention Workshop on February 22nd from 2 PM to 4 PM. This interactive event is designed to teach kids practical strategies to prevent bullying and protect themselves if necessary. Led by our owner, Shihan Matt, and Lead Instructor Sensei Robert, this workshop will give children the tools they need to navigate challenging situations with confidence and respect.
What Your Child Will Learn
This isn’t about teaching kids to fight; it’s about helping them build the confidence to stand tall and take control of difficult situations. Here’s what we’ll cover during the workshop:
- How to Recognize Bullying Behavior: We’ll teach children to identify different forms of bullying—verbal, physical, and social—and understand the importance of addressing it early.
- De-escalation Techniques: Kids will learn how to use their words and body language to defuse situations before they escalate.
- Basic Self-Defense Skills: In situations where physical safety is at risk, we’ll introduce simple, effective techniques to protect themselves.
- Building Confidence: Through fun, hands-on exercises, kids will leave feeling stronger and more self-assured.
By the end of the workshop, your child will walk away with tools to help them stay safe and confident in any environment.

Why Attend?
We know it’s not always easy to talk to kids about bullying, and it’s even harder for them to navigate these situations on their own. This workshop creates a safe and supportive space where kids can ask questions, share experiences, and practice real-life strategies about Bully Prevention. Plus, parents are welcome to stay and observe, giving you insight into what your child is learning and how you can continue supporting them at home.
